Who or What is Affinda?
We’re a team of AI nerds. Our HQ is in Melbourne, but half the team is spread around the world, with people all over – Belfast, Poland, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Vietnam, New York, Vancouver.
8 years ago the company started out as Draftable - a document comparison product - and has since expanded into offering AI document processing solutions under the Affinda umbrella brand.
We’ve got data scientists, devs of all stripes, salespeople, marketers and strategy consultants. It’s this broad mix of expertise and backgrounds which makes it genuinely interesting. Every day, we’re exposed to new information.
That’s what I love most about Affinda - we’ve put together a small but smart team that really brings their best each day. I’m constantly learning from them and have learned a lot about programming, AI, and business strategy since I joined.
What Do We Do?
Affinda has two sides to it -
Products – Draftable was our first product, but we now offer a range of AI document processing products including a Resume Parser and Invoice Extractor.
Solutions – Our Solutions team creates custom AI solutions for growing companies that want to get more value out of their data.
All of this is made possible by our AI Engine, VEGA, which sits at the core of everything we do and powers all our products and custom solutions.

Even as a relatively small company, we’ve had success selling our products to some of the world’s most recognisable brands, including Ford, Intuit and McKinsey. We’re excited that Affinda’s offerings are now used by a growing list of software and internet companies around the world.

Affinda team members tend to be down to earth, focused and intelligent people who are good at working autonomously. The people who do best here are those that really take ownership of solving problems and driving projects forward.
If you work for Affinda, you will set your own schedule and, in many cases, decide for yourself the priorities. For this reason, our team is independently-minded and self-driven. Team members proactively look for ideas and improvements, and make logical cases for them.
Affinda is not loaded with processes and structure. The kind of person we are looking for thrives on managing their own schedule and projects. Team members work at their own pace and then regroup to share updates.
